The LifePak 12 produced
by Medtronics (Redmond,WA) is a reliable monitor/defibrillator/pacing
device which is useful in pre-hospital, critical care transport and
clinical applications.The LifePak 12 is
constructed of durable plastic, measures 13”x 14”x
7” and weighs 22 pounds.The LifePak 12 is capable of
ECG monitoring, 12 lead ECG capture, pacing and synchronized
cardioversion.The
Life Pak 12 is powered either by Fast Pak batteries, or AC/DC
converters. The
Life LifePak 12 can be configured for pulse oximetry, wave
form capnometry monitoring and an automatic blood pressure cuff.
The control selection
buttons are clearly labeled for emergency access.The Life Pak 12 can be used
as a manual monitor defibrillator or a SAED by selecting the SAED
function on the keyboard.Option buttons allow the user
to set alarm values and enter patient name and age. Interventions can
be easily documented on the ECG by use of selector buttons which
identify 19 different treatment choices of medications transport or an
“other” selection for drugs not listed.
The Physio Control
Lifepak 12 has been replaced by the Lifepak 15, however, the LP12 is a
cost saving choice for dependable emergency cardiac intervention by
paramedics or physician’s.The Lifepak 12 Quik-Combo
pacing/defibrillation/ECG electrodes which are interchangeable with
other Medtronic products for further cost reduction by maximizing pad
use.Be
sure to order Medtronic batteries and cables for best performance.
