These devices are much more useful for patients who are well enough to walk around in the hallway. They can even be used in doctor’s offices or clinics as a quick measurement of a person’s blood oxygen levels.

These devices can also be very useful in rehabilitation settings. Frequently, people who have had serious heart or lung problems require extensive rehabilitation or reconditioning after a major illness. These tools can be useful in determining whether an individual is exercising more strenuously than is safe for him or her.

Unfortunately, not all hospitals or clinics have enough financial resources to purchase every type of new medical equipment that can be used to benefit patients. Health professionals in these settings often find that used medical equipment is a beneficial alternative to expending large quantities of money for costly new devices. Used devices are an excellent way to save money without compromising on the quality of health care an institution can deliver.
