Durable Point-of-Care Ultrasound with Fast Boot and Enhanced Image Quality
The SonoSite Edge® Ultrasound System is a fifth-generation point-of-care ultrasound
platform designed for clinicians who need confident imaging in fast-moving environments. A
larger 12.1" LCD display makes images easier to see from across the patient or even across the room,
while enhanced image quality helps improve diagnostic confidence. The system powers on fast, taking you
from start-up to scanning in less than 20 seconds, so you can scan immediately when time matters.
Built for real-world clinical abuse, the Edge pairs a magnesium shell with a solid aluminium core
and is drop-tested to 3 ft (91.4 cm) for long-term durability. Infection control is also baked in:
a splash-resistant, sealed silicone keyboard makes cleaning and disinfection easier without turning the
console into a delicate, high-maintenance gadget.
Image performance is driven by SonoSite’s Edge technology suite, including SonoHD2™ second-generation imaging
(to reduce speckle noise and artifacts), SonoADAPT™ tissue optimization (to reduce multi-control tweaking),
SonoMB® multi-beam imaging (for improved small-structure resolution and border definition),
Advanced Needle Visualization, and ColorHD™ technology for stronger color sensitivity and frame rates.
Key Features:
- < 20-second boot-up from power-on to scanning.
- 12.1" (30.7 cm) LCD with a large clinical image area.
- Rugged chassis: magnesium shell + aluminium core, 3 ft (91.4 cm) drop-tested.
- Splash-resistant, sealed silicone keyboard for easier cleaning/disinfection.
- SonoHD2™, SonoADAPT™, SonoMB®, Advanced Needle Visualization, ColorHD™ imaging technologies.
- All-digital broadband architecture with multifrequency imaging modes.
- PC- and Mac-friendly workflow with 2 high-speed USB 2.0 ports and export options.
- Broad point-of-care application coverage (including anesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine, vascular, surgery, women’s health, and more).
